It is a trend nowadays for couples to get married during summer. The choice may be personal or just to follow traditions, but they know that summer brings a lot more opportunity and space to do what they want in their wedding. It is not as restricting as what other seasons bring in; this flexibility extends to choosing the summer wedding favors to please the wedding guests.
Summer offers a wide range of activities for everyone which opens the door to endless options for a summer wedding favor.
Summer flowers are a delight at any wedding. Continuing that look to decorate the table and provide a small gift for guests is a great idea. Small flower holders, perhaps personalized with the bride and groom’s names and the date is one way to do so. Fill the little vase with silk summer roses and you’ve got a hit.
Create a postcard-like image in their imagination of your destiny for your honeymoon. If you plan to go to a tropical island, you may use that thought in creating your summer wedding giveaways. A perfect one would be a sun-shaped glass miniature with an attached wedding symbol. Etch your initials at the back to personalize it.
Expand the panorama by decorating the tables with cute shells, clams, sand crabs, and starfish handcrafted from resin or marble or any materials. They’ll be your guests’ summer trinkets they can enjoy even in the cold of winter.
Maybe you’re heading out to a tropical island for your honeymoon vacation. Perfect. Sea breezes, water sports, lazing in the sun. Provide your guests with miniature reminders of the joy to come. A tiny golf bag and clubs will amuse many. Or, select some pineapple-themed name card holders. Toss into the little sandbox some flip flop leather keychains in Hawaiian colors.
Everyone likes photo frames. Fill them with a picture of the bride and groom the day they got engaged. Complete the setting with a sea shell lining around the rim. Add a miniature surfboard of the type the happy couple shared on that happy day. Or, opt for a miniature copy of the bucket they used to build a sandcastle. Here, those could be in the form of a candle holder.
If you’re heading for a wild (read: forest, nature, mountains) honeymoon, you can give summer wedding favors that reflect the adventure you’ll have in the great outdoor. How about figurines of the wildlife or even flower-shaped soaps?
To add a more dramatic effect, put in mini-lanterns that give off a soft glowing light. The ultimate time to go on log cabin vacations is in summer. Try to create that feel with miniature cabins placed with the pine trees. Small, delicate ceramic horses that are beautifully crafted make for unique summer wedding favors, and an apt representation of the many horse rides you’ll be enjoying on your honeymoon vacation. Wedding guests will be thrilled to bring home these delightful favors and display them in their homes.
There are so many things you can give as summer wedding favors. You can easily find one that is truly representational of what it is you want to share with your guests. In the end, whatever you choose for a summer wedding favor would always be a happy reminder of that wonderful day.
