Even today, Spain is still a favorite holiday destination with people from all over the UK. But now more and more people are choosing to rent holiday villas in Spain instead of staying in a hotel. The reason for this being that cost wise it is much cheaper to rent a villa for four people than it is to stay in a hotel for the same amount of time.
When it comes to finding the right villa for your holiday there are many disadvantages and advantages to be had from using an agent to find you the right one. Below we take a look at just what some of the advantages and disadvantages are.
1. The first advantage of booking your villa through an agent is that they have a wide range of villas in various locations available for you to select from. All you need to do is tell them what it is you want and where you would like it to be and they will then find you some thing that matches your requirements.
2. Another advantage is that many agents will offer to help arrange your flights and car hire also. This then makes the whole process of arranging your next holiday to Spain much simpler and easier to do.
3. Look for those agents who will have either an office or a representative close to where you property is situated. Then you will know that there is someone to hand you the keys upon your arrival and also show you around the villa and explain just how everything in it works.
4. There are a couple of disadvantages to be had from booking your holiday villa through an agent and the first one being that some may charge a high booking fee (commission) on top of the rental price. Certainly some of the more unscrupulous agents are likely to charge 25% or more on top of the cost for renting the villa. These are also likely to be the ones who provide you with terrible service and no back up in case of emergencies or problems that you may have during your stay.
5. Another disadvantage is that there are some agents who will actually advertise villas to rent in Spain and will have never actually seen them for themselves. So when it comes to finding out what local facilities and amenities and other important information you need during your stay is going to be somewhat lacking.
It is important if you are going to be using any agent for booking holiday villas in Spain through that you spend your time carrying out a little research before hand. If you can contact each one in turn and ask them for details of those properties that you are interested in and any other information that they can provide and which they feel is essential.
